Hershey Joins Forces With Rascal Flatts On S'Mores Promotion
HERSHEY, Pa. -- The Hershey Co. is partnering with country music stars Rascal Flatts to promote Hershey chocolate bars.
Hershey will sponsor Rascal Flatts’ American Living Unstoppable 2009 concert tour in conjunction with a national television commercial and the Hershey's S'Mores Rocks Your Block promotion. The promotion gives fans the chance to win an exclusive s’mores-themed block party featuring the country music act.
"We're thrilled to be partnering with the industry’s hottest group to celebrate the classic combination of pure Hershey's Milk Chocolate, graham crackers and marshmallows," said Hershey's Michele Buck, senior vice president, global chief marketing officer.
"Our integrated sponsorship offers a unique opportunity for consumers to enjoy these two fan favorites with a s’mores mobile tour that will sample the delicious classic treat to concert-goers and the Hershey's S'mores Rocks Your Block promotion with the ultimate grand prize of a backyard barbeque with Rascal Flatts."
Hershey's promotion will award Rascal Flatts-themed prizes to consumers each day from May to September, 2009. One fan will win the private block party for 100 friends featuring Rascal Flatts, while others will win $2,500 Visa gift cards to create their own block party, VIP trips to Rascal Flatts concerts and 100,000 music downloads.
Rascal Flatts will star in a commercial featuring a backyard barbeque in which friends and family enjoy toasted s’mores and a private concert. The national commercial will run nationwide through August 2009.
The music group's tour will appear in approximately 60 cities across America, kicking off in St. Louis on June 5 and featuring special guests Vince Gill and Darius Rucker. The Hershey’s S’mores mobile tour will be at each stop.
