Joe Hamza Joins Nouria Energy's Executive Team

WORCESTER, Mass. — Industry veteran Joe Hamza is taking on a new role at Nouria Energy Corp.

Hamza joined the company as chief operating officer, Retail and Marketing in September.

"We are very excited to have such a prominent industry leader joining our organization and are looking forward to Joe guiding Retail and Marketing Division to the new level of success," said Tony EI-Nemr, president and CEO of Nouria Energy Corp.

Hamza previously held title as vice president, Sales and Marketing at Tedeschi Food Shops Inc. He worked at the retailer from August 2007 through last month.  

7-Eleven Inc. closed on its acquisition of Rockland, Mass.-based Tedeschi and its 180 c-stores in late August, as CSNews Online previously reported.

Hamza is a member of the NACS, the Association for Convenience & Fuel Retailing, serving as a member of the NACS-United Fresh Convenience Task Force. He also serves as chairman of the membership committee for the New England Convenience Store Association, among other industry groups. 

He also serves on a number of organization and brand advisory boards.

Worcester-based Nouria Energy owns and operates 83 convenience stores under the Shell Food Mart and Lil' Mart brands. It also supplies fuel to more than 130 sites operating under the Shell, Gulf and Irving brands in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
