Kangaroo Express Roo Cup Refill Promo Extended

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Fans of The Pantry Inc.'s Kangaroo Express Roo Cup can enjoy discount drink refills for a while longer. The convenience store chain has extended its summer promotion until Sept. 30, reported The Birmingham News. The promotion was originally scheduled to run through Labor Day.

The refillable 2012 Roo Cup sells for $6.99, but customers can bring them back to the store to refill them with any fountain or frozen beverage for just 25 cents. Additionally, each cup has a QR code that they can scan every Monday to access exciting videos, games and giveaways, and customers can join the Roo Cup Club by texting "ROOCUP" to "THEROO" (843766) to receive text messaging deals, such as free refill days.

In summer 2011, 264,000 Roo Cups sold out in only four weeks. The company made twice as many cups available this summer, and launched an online reservation system to make sure devoted fans received their Roo Cups.
