Kum & Go Adds DC Brands' Energy Drink
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Through Carroll, Iowa-based distributor Farner-Bocken, the more than 400-unit Kum & Go chain of convenience stores will carry DC Brands Intl.'s energy drinks, which include Dickens Energy Cider and Turn Left Energy Drink, DC Brands stated.
"We are extremely happy and proud to welcome Kum & Go to our team," Jim Randall, vice president of sales for DC Brands, said in a statement. "The stores began setup [yesterday], and all stores should have product in stock before the month's end. We have created an aggressive promotion schedule to help ensure the mutual success of this relationship. This is first of many positive announcements to come."
Last week, DC Brands signed agreements with Farner Brocken, which will ship DC Brands product to its retail partners this month, the company stated.
"[Farner Brocken] gives us the ability to meet with the major accounts they have relationships with, so we can obtain the authorizations to get in their stores with the assurance the deliveries will be handled efficiently through a vendor/distributor the retailer knows, trusts and has been doing business with for years," Paddy Sheya, sales representative for DC Brands, said in a statement last week that announced the agreement with the wholesaler.
