Kum & Go Brings the ‘&’ to Customer Rewards

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Kum & Go LC is rolling out a loyalty program called &Rewards after successful pilots in two markets: Sioux Falls, S.D., and Colorado Springs, Colo. The program, which already has more than 20,000 registered users, is intended to reward customers for purchases made both in-store and at the pump at Kum & Go convenience stores.

Customers earn two points per gallon on all fuel transactions and five points per dollar spent on most items in-store. After earning 250 points, a reward of the customer’s choice will be loaded to their account. Reward items include discounts on fuel, free beverages, and free fresh food items such as pizza and breakfast sandwiches. Just for signing up, loyalty customers receive a free fountain soda.

&Rewards also includes a pizza club whereby customers can purchase six regular-price pizzas and earn the seventh pizza free. In addition, the retailer said it will “surprise & delight” &Rewards members with pop-up offers, such as fuel discounts, and discounted and free snack items.

To entice customers to sign up for the loyalty program, Kum & Go is sponsoring a contest that encourages shoppers to register and begin using the program every time they shop. Any registered customer whose app is scanned or card is swiped 10 or more times between now and June 30 will be entered into a drawing to win a free reward each week for the rest of the year.

The West Des Moines-based retailer is also offering the &Rewards Debit Card as part of the &Rewards loyalty program. The debit card gives customers 5 cents off per gallon every day on regular fuel and 10 cents off per gallon on premium fuel.

Kum & Go operates 430 c-stores in 11 states.
