Kum & Go Launches Private Label Wines
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Kum & Go L.C., operator of more than 430 convenience stores headquartered here, has launched a proprietary wine offering that includes Napa Creek Cabernet Sauvignon and Sea Ridge Merlot, which will be sold exclusively at participating Kum & Go stores in Iowa, Missouri and Nebraska, the company stated.
The c-store retailer sought a high-quality wine at a great value and convenient for its customers. It selected the American brand Charles Shaw, owned by the Bronco Wine Co., which will provide wine from its California vineyards, according to the company.
Through the partnership, Kum & Go will pass along cost-savings to its customers. The Napa Creek Cabernet Sauvignon will be sold in Kum & Go stores for less than $15 and the Sea Ridge Merlot for less than $7, the company stated.
The Napa Creek Cabernet Sauvignon features a mellow flavor with fruit tones of a Merlot, while the Sea Ridge Merlot features hints of fresh berry fruit and plums.
