Kwik Chek Gets Cookin'

BONHAM, Texas -- Kwik Chek Stores, operator of 31 convenience stores in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma, is opening its first Chester's restaurant in a store on North Highway 121 in Bonham, Texas, right across from Bonham High School.

The new Chester's, owned by franchisee and Kwik Chek owner Kevin Smartt, will be operated by John Hines. The location will serve both lunch and dinner, offering Chester's signature menu options including fried chicken, potato wedges and biscuits. The store also will feature both dine-in and carry-out options, as well as catering trays.

Among the first Bonham citizens to try out Chester's catering trays and delivery were the local school board, mayor and city council during their recent meeting.

"We believe fresh-prepared foods are the future of successful c-store operations," Smartt said in a statement. "Adding Chester's to our existing food concepts allows us to strengthen our position of becoming a food destination."

Chester's International LLC is an emerging quick-serve restaurant (QSR) concept, with more than 1,500 Chester Fried licensed and Chester's franchised locations.
