Kwik Trip CEO Don Zietlow to Receive Salvation Army Honor
LA CROSSE, Wis. — The president and CEO of Kwik Trip Inc. and his family will be honored for the role they play in supporting their local community at Salvation Army's seventh-annual Civic Event.
Don and wife LaVonne Zietlow, along with Kwik Trip, are being recognized for their contributions both as employers and as benefactors to countless nonprofits in this area, according to the La Crosse Tribune.
"Visionary, humble, private, generous, devout, caring for co-workers and community would be a few words to describe Don," said Dale Walter, a Salvation Army advisory board member. "His track record as a business person is stellar and his character as a person is even greater."
LaVonne Zietlow gives just as generously of her time, contributing countless hours to the American Red Cross, the newspaper added.
The Zietlows will receive The Salvation Army's Community Red Shield Award, a recognition given to those who are making a difference in the community, as part of the organization's Civic Event on April 23.
Kwik Trip is a family-owned retailer operating more than 400 convenience stores in the Midwest.
