Kwik Trip Honored for Energy Efficiency
LA CROSSE, Wis. — Kwik Trip Inc. won a Focus on Energy 2015 Excellence in Energy Efficiency Award.
According to Focus on Energy, La Crosse-based Kwik Trip completed more than 1,000 energy efficiency projects at more than 250 store locations and manufacturing facilities since 2006. In 2014 alone, Kwik Trip completed 771 measures at 229 locations totaling $425,209 in incentives and netting annual savings of 6.9 million kilowatts per hour.
“Kwik Trip continues to work with Focus on Energy to identify other means of saving energy and plans to identify and incorporate more innovation in the years to come with Focus on Energy support,” stated Focus on Energy, Wisconsin utilities’ statewide energy efficiency and renewable resource program.
Kwik Trip is one of nine Wisconsin companies to win a Focus on Energy 2015 Excellence in Energy Efficiency Award.
As CSNews Online previously reported, the convenience store operator also recently won Convenience Store News’ 2014 Fuels Innovator of the Year award for its vast compressed natural gas offering.
Kwik Trip operates more than 400 convenience stores in the Midwest.
