Leo Vercollone to Lead New England C-store Association

DUXBURY, Mass. -- Leo Vercollone, president of Duxbury-based VERC Enterprises, has been named president of the New England Convenience Store Association (NECSA).

NECSA represents and protects the interests of retailers and suppliers in the convenience store and petroleum industry in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

“It is an honor and privilege to serve as president of an organization that is so vital to our industry,” said Vercollone, a long-time NECSA member who previously served as the association's vice president.

In addition to his work with NECSA, Vercollone has served numerous industry, civic and community organizations, including as a member of the board of directors of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce; on the Dealer Advisory Council for both Mobil and Gulf; and as a member of the board of directors of NACS, the Association for Convenience & Fuel Retailing. He also sits on the Finance Council for Holy Family Catholic Church and is a member of the board of directors of Trinity Catholic Academy in Brockton, Mass.

Vercollone holds a bachelor’s degree from Boston College.

VERC Enterprises was founded 37 years ago and has evolved into a leading convenience store and Mobil/Gulf gasoline operator with locations throughout eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Last year, VERC won the Convenience Store News Grand Spirit Award for Community Outreach for its efforts to help those in the community with physical or mental disabilities and associated challenges.
