Love's Enters Franchise Agreement with Chester's

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Travel-center chain Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores and Chester's International LLC, a developer of quick-service restaurant (QSR) concepts, have entered a franchise agreement. Love's, based in Oklahoma City, plans to open the next Chester's location this fall.

James Venable, Love's director of foodservice, said that going with Chester's new franchise model was a smart business decision. "A full case of Chester's chicken sells itself. Customers can see it, smell it and once they taste it, they're hooked. We feel that Chester's International offers an outstanding chicken program that ranks highly, compared with several other QSR chicken competitors," Venable said.

"Love's has always been a strong operator of ours and we look forward to building on our collaborative history of success," said Ted Giles, president and CEO of Chester's, who also noted that Love's currently operates 20 Chester Fried locations across the country.

The location is set to open this fall in Dublin, Ga., and will be co-branded with a Subway.
