Love's Enters Self-Storage Business

OKLAHOMA CITY — Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores is diving headfirst into the self-storage business.

The Oklahoma City-based travel center operator opened its first Love's Storage Solutions facility near Interstate 20 in Sweetwater, Texas, earlier this year next to a Love's truck stop. Just recently, the company opened a second facility on Horizon Boulevard in East El Paso County, Texas, reported the El Paso Times.

The second facility, also located next to a Love's travel stop, spans 70,000 square feet and has 517 storage units.

Love's is not planning to stop there. It will open six more Love's Storage Solutions facilities in the next few years, a company spokesman told the news outlet. Two are scheduled to open in Las Vegas and one in Bridgeton, Mo., by next summer, with the other three locations to be determined.

Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores operates approximately 350 travel centers in 40 states.
