Love's Expands Partnership With Sonic Restaurant Chain

HOLCOMB, Kan. — The latest Love's Travel Stop here represents the chain's fifth travel stop in Kansas and third location with a Sonic Drive-In.

The Holcomb location sits at the intersection of U.S. Highway 400/50 and North Big Lowe Road.

The new Sonic Drive-In is the latest in a line of new drive-in formats that allows professional drivers to experience Sonic seated at a table. Sonic offers flexible formats from the traditional drive-in model with up to 29 dining stalls and a drive-thru, to customizable indoor spaces, allowing guests to pick up meals in their vehicles or dine in.

"We are pleased to partner with Love's to bring the Sonic experience to their new travel stop in Holcomb. As one of the highest-quality travel stops you will find on the road, Love's is the perfect partner to help us establish our newest drive-in in Kansas, joining 133 Sonics serving Kansans their favorite Sonic items," said John Budd, chief development and strategy officer for Sonic.

In addition to the Sonic Drive-In, the travel stop features a Subway restaurant. The travel stop also features two showers, 36 truck-parking spaces, RFID cardless fueling and CAT scales.

"Love's has an ongoing commitment to expand in areas where professional drivers need more safe places to park," said Greg Love, co-CEO of Love's. "Holcomb is ideal because it fits in well with our existing locations in Kansas. We're happy to be able to provide services to more professional drivers along Highway 400/50, as well as residents in Holcomb."

Oklahoma City-based Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores has more than 360 locations in 40 states.

Also based in Oklahoma City, Sonic, America's Drive-In, is the nation's largest drive-in restaurant chain serving more than 3 million customers every day. Nearly 90 percent of Sonic's 3,500 drive-in locations are owned and operated by local businessmen and women.
