Mansfield Oil Co. Awarded 2011 PepsiCo Supplier of the Year
GAINESVILLE, Ga. -- Mansfield Oil Co. was honored with PepsiCo's 2011 Supplier of the Year award on March 8 during the company's annual supplier conference in San Antonio, Texas. Mansfield Oil supplies fuel products and services to PepsiCo, which operates a fleet of 100,000 vehicles throughout the United States. Ranked as one of the Top 100 privately held companies in America by Forbes, Mansfield continues to provide its customers spanning the waste, transit, school transportation, retail and government sectors with superior end-to-end fuel solutions.
"Mansfield is honored to receive this award from PepsiCo," Marc Helms, Mansfield's vice president of sales said in a released statement. "Through our partnership, we created a strategy that alleviates concerns around supply while looking ahead and putting an infrastructure in place to manage PepsiCo's future needs, such as Air 1 Diesel Exhaust Fluid that's required in the company's newer SCR vehicles. Mansfield has assisted PepsiCo in achieving their goals for operational excellence around their fuel program while maintaining the exceptional customer service and innovation for which Mansfield is known."
PepsiCo honored Mansfield during the general assembly meeting at their annual supply conference. Nominated by several stakeholders within the Pepsi Bottling Company, Mansfield was credited as a "strategic partner" for PepsiCo. The presenters cited Mansfield's pioneering implementation of a comprehensive fuel management program as a key to their operational success in the past year. Mansfield's unparalleled hurricane and winter management solutions, as well as its "on call" support team, also made the 54-year-old company the obvious choice for this award, the vendor reported.
