Maverik Opens First Nebraska Location

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. -- Maverik Inc. is about to become a cornhusker. The convenience store chain is opening its first Nebraska store tonight.

The 4,200-square-foot Scottsbluff store, at 920 W. 36 St., near U.S. Route 26, is hosting an open house from 5 to 8 p.m. to celebrate the occasion. The outdoor-adventure branded chain now operates c-stores and gas stations throughout 10 western states.

"We're very excited about this new location," said Brad Call, Maverik's vice president. "It is always exciting to see a new store enter a new state, especially one that is a gateway to so many outdoor and adventure destinations."

Among the offerings at tonight's open house will be Maverik's Bodacious Bean Mountain Coffee and its Bonfire line of pastries and deli-style food.

Maverik operates more than 230 locations and bills itself as "Adventure's First Stop."
