Miller Oil and Schmuckal Oil Adopt PriceNet Cloud

NORFOLK, Va. and TRAVERSE CITY, Mich.-- Miller Oil Co. and Schmuckal Oil Co. both implemented KSS Fuels' PriceNet Cloud at their respective convenience stores and gas stations.

PriceNet Cloud -- providing the same pricing capabilities as the on-premise PriceNet version -- is designed to allow fuel retailers to react quickly to market and competitor changes, as well as apply advanced analytics to enhance decision making without the need for computer hardware.

"Moving to a cloud-based version of PriceNet will enable us to see immediate cost savings and will give us the opportunity to benefit from a broader range of services from KSS Fuels," said Jeff Miller, president and CEO of Norfolk, Va.-based Miller Oil.

PriceNet Cloud provides several advantages to Schmuckal Oil as well, according to Dave Waldron, the company's vice president of operations.

“As well as reducing our information technology-related costs, using PriceNet Cloud means we always have the benefit of a high-performance computing platform, ensuring our infrastructure doesn’t delay getting fuel prices out to the street," he added.

Miller Oil and Schmuckal Oil join a growing list of c-store retailers that have implemented PriceNet Cloud. "We’re delighted to see more clients adopting our PriceNet Cloud solution," said Bob Stein, president and CEO of KSS Fuels. "The twin benefits of lower ownership costs and value-adding business services available through the cloud continue to attract fuel retailers of all sizes to seriously evaluate a move to cloud."

Miller Oil operates more than 30 Miller's Neighborhood Market locations and supplies fuel to dealer sites in Virginia and Florida. Traverse City, Mich-based Schmuckal Oil has 26 convenience store and gas station locations.

Florham Park, N.J.-based KSS Fuels provides fuel pricing and retail location intelligence solutions. It maintains two headquarters locations, as well as operations in several countries.
