Monster Energy Extends Relationship with Kawasaki

IRVINE, Calif. -- Monster Energy, the fast-selling energy supplement beverage, and title sponsor of Kawasaki's successful Pro Circuit 125cc motocross team, is partnering with Kawasaki Motors Corp. U.S.A. in a two-tiered promotional effort. The program, launched this month, features both race sponsorships and a massive retail promotional effort that will focus on the giveaway of 170 motorcycles and will see 20 million Monster Energy cans carrying the Kawasaki logo.

Monster is providing more than 200,000 pieces of in-store point-of-sale materials to retail outlets. Materials highlight the Monster/Kawasaki Triple Crown of Motocross and Ivan Tedesco's championship, coupled with the consumer's ability to win one of the Kawasaki KLX110 motorcycles that have been specially modified by Pro Circuit.

The Triple Crown, including the just-completed AMA National Motocross at Mt. Morris, Pa., and the Buchanan, Mich., and Delmont, Penn., AMA rounds later in the summer, will see top professional racers vie for total points accumulation as they fight for the $25,000 bonus being offered by Monster. Top privateers at each of the events will be recognized in addition to the factory racers, and the privateer accumulating the most points during the three-event series will also receive a grand prize at Delmont's Steel City Raceway.
