More Than 5,000 New Jobs Spring Up at Wawa

WAWA, Pa. — Wawa Inc. plans to hire more than 5,000 new associates over the next three months. Customer service-level positions will be open at all of Wawa's 700-plus convenience stores across its six-state operating area.

The companywide hiring campaign will span the spring season and is part Wawa's overall commitment to providing job opportunities that can lead to fulfilling careers for community members across its operating area, the retailer said.

"At Wawa, we exist to fulfill lives every day and part of this commitment means providing fulfilling job opportunities that can lead to fulfilling careers for the more than 26,000 Wawa associates who are part of our team," stated Dave Filano, manager of talent acquisition at Wawa. "As we continue to expand and grow, we're excited to fill these 5,000-plus positions with people who will quickly become part of the Wawa Way."

Filano noted that the chain is specifically looking for individuals who want to join its team for the busy summer season, as well those who might be interested in the start of a fulfilling career at Wawa.

Every Wawa store will have job opportunities, and more than 100 select stores will also host open houses throughout March and April. During these open houses, potential associates can receive a brief, first interview; learn more about Wawa's culture and the role its associates play in their community; and explore career opportunities. Free Wawa coffee will also be available to all open house applicants. 

Stores hosting the open house events will display a sign with the date and time. Individuals interested in career opportunities at Wawa are encouraged to apply online prior to attending an open house.

Wawa operates more than 700 convenience stores in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Florida.
