Murphy Oil Promotes McKinlay to Head Downstream Operations

EL DORADO, Ark. --Murphy Oil Corp. has promoted Tom McKinlay to executive vice president, worldwide downstream operations. In his new role, McKinlay will assume responsibility for domestic marketing operations following the retirement of Hank Heithaus. He will have responsibility for the company’s worldwide manufacturing operations, which include refining, terminals, renewable energy and international downstream operations, including Murphy Eastern Oil Co. and Murco Petroleum Ltd.

McKinlay joined Murphy in 1991, holding several positions with the company’s U.K. subsidiary until taking a hiatus from the company in 2001. In 2005, McKinlay rejoined Murphy in the United Kingdom, where he stayed until being promoted to general manager, supply and transportation. He transferred to Murphy Oil USA Inc. in 2008 and was promoted to vice president, U.S. manufacturing for Murphy Oil Corp. in 2009 and to senior vice president of the company last year.

McKinlay continues to report to David Wood, president and CEO of Murphy Oil Corp.
