NACS Show Recap: Tobacco
ATLANTA -- The NACS Show is the perfect stage for suppliers to display their latest products, and this year, tobacco companies took full advantage of that opportunity. New tobacco products showcased at the 2013 NACS Show ran the gamut from new flavors, to new to industry, to new accessory designs.
Swedish Match displayed two new flavors, White Owl Gold and Game Red cigarillos. In addition, Scandinavian Tobacco Group shined a spotlight on its latest pipe tobacco flavor, Captain Black Dark.
Showcasing new-to-industry items were Altria Group Distribution Co. with its Black & Mild natural wrap cigarillos and its Black & Mild Jazz plastic tip. Altria's NuMark subsidiary, meanwhile, debuted the MarkTen electronic cigarette, which hit Indiana stores in August. Likewise, R.J. Reynolds Vapor Co., a subsidiary of Reynolds American Inc., featured its new Vuse digital vapor cigarettes.
Other new-to-industry products included Scandinavian Tobacco Group's Midnight Special cigarette tobacco, and BIC Corp.'s Hipster and Duck Dynasty collector series.
