New Owner Has Plans to Make Good2Go Stores Better

CODY, Wyo. -- Things are about to get better for Good2Go as the chain's new owner, Brad Hall & Associates Inc., is currently planning a major redesign starting with a local store.

According to a report by The Cody Enterprise, plans approved Aug. 13 by the city planning and zoning board call for the demolition of the existing store, its fuel pumps and car wash. A new 3,000-square-foot building and six fuel pumps will be built at the location on the southeast corner of 17th Street and Beck Avenue.

"This is [Brad Hall & Associates'] specialty. They've purchased a number of sites in the area. You can expect to see more from them as they look to redevelop and improve each site," Clint Boyle of Horrocks Engineers told the city's planning and zoning committee.

Boyle also said access to the site is problematic from a functional standpoint because of the various drive approaches at the intersection. "One of the first things we want to do is improve the function and circulation of the parking area," he explained. "We've been working with WYDOT [Wyoming Department of Transportation] to do that."

Good2Go must first obtain WYDOT and city permits before construction can begin. This will be the first Good2Go location to see a major redesign, but there are plans for many others, the news outlet reported. However, it is not clear just how many of the stores the company will remodel.

As CSNews Online previously reported, nearly all of the assets of locally based Red Eagle Oil Inc. were sold to Brad Hall & Associates after Red Eagle filed for bankruptcy in August 2012. In a sale executed by Matrix Capital Markets Group Inc., Brad Hall & Associates purchased 16 fee-owned convenience stores that offer motor fuels, as well as several bulk plants and transportation equipment.

Fifteen of the c-stores are located throughout Wyoming, with the other store in Hardin, Mont. Eight of the stores offer Exxon fuel, while the remaining stores sell unbranded fuels.
