Packers Pride Pays Off at Wisconsin CITGO Locations
GREEN BAY, Wis. — Getting football fans to wear their favorite team-themed gear is certainly no tough sell. But now, fans of the National Football League’s Green Bay Packers have an extra incentive for wearing regalia of the four-time Super Bowl champions.
Under the Green & Gold Friday initiative, fans wearing Packers apparel on Fridays can visit participating Wisconsin CITGO locations during the football season to receive a free small coffee or fountain beverage. No purchase is necessary.
Packers fans are also invited to share photos of themselves and fellow fans dressed in green and gold on Fridays through social media by using the hashtag #GGFriday. Selected photos will be featured Fridays on Packers.com, PackersEverywhere.com, Packers social media accounts and on the TundraVision video boards at Green Bay’s Lambeau Field during home games.
In addition to CITGO, the Packers are also teaming with Culver’s restaurants and Mills Fleet Farm locations in Wisconsin to provide fans wearing green and gold on Fridays the chance to win Packers tickets, memorabilia and more.
Houston-based CITGO is a refiner, transporter and marketer of transportation fuels. The company is owned by CITGO Holding Inc., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Petróleos de Venezuela SA, the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
