Parker’s Achieves Three-Peat on Fastest-Growing Companies List
SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Parker’s Convenience Stores has been named to Inc. magazine's "Inc. 500|5000" list of the nation's fastest-growing companies for the third consecutive year. The annual ranking is based on percentage revenue growth from 2010 through 2013.
Only 5,000 out of approximately 7 million privately held U.S. businesses were named to the 2014 list.
Eric Schurenberg, president and editor-in-chief of Inc. magazine, commented that “as an Inc. 5000 honoree, Parker’s shares a pedigree with Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, Jamba Juice, Timberland, Clif Bar, Pandora, Patagonia, Oracle and other notable alumni.”
Parker’s currently operates 36 convenience stores in nine counties throughout southeast Georgia and South Carolina, and sells Parker’s proprietary brand gasoline. The retailer is dedicated to exceeding customer expectations and being recognized as the region's preeminent convenience store operator.
“This celebrated achievement is a testament to our employees and the trust and confidence that our customers and business partners have placed in us,” said Greg Parker, CEO of Savannah-based Parker’s. "This phenomenal growth is only possible as the result of a coordinated team effort.”
Looking ahead, Parker’s is poised for continued strategic growth in key markets.
"We still see a lot of opportunity in the marketplace," Parker added. "So, we'll continue to pursue aggressive growth by adding resources, increasing our presence and expanding our service offerings. We will focus on innovative opportunities and continue to exceed our customers’ expectations."
