Parker's Wins Best C-store Honors

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Parker's recently earned "Best Convenience Store" honors from readers of the Savannah Morning News and The Island Packet newspapers in separate competitions. The daily newspapers of the greater Savannah, Ga., and Bluffton/Hilton Head, S.C., markets polled their readers this past spring, according to The Parker Cos.

"We are truly honored to have received such a high level of recognition by our customers in both of these local business-competition sections. Our store managers do a great job every day providing fast, fresh and friendly service, achieving our goal of a superior customer experience," said Greg Parker, president and CEO of The Parker Cos. "We realize our customers have many shopping and convenience store options. We're thankful for their loyalty, and will continue to work to earn their shopping trust."

The Savannah Morning News also named Parker's a winner in the "Best Luncheon Bargain," "Best Deli" and "Best She Crab Soup" categories, and Parker's finished in the top three of the metro area's retail stores and restaurants for: Best Sweet Tea, Best Downtown Shop for Parker's Market Urban Gourmet, Best Soul Food, Best Fried Chicken and Best Shrimp & Grits for Parker's Market Urban Gourmet.

"We try to be an innovator in our industry and to bring new menu items to our stores for the benefit of our customers. Winning recognition in so many food categories helps to confirm that we're on the right track," Parker said.

Parker's currently operates 36 c-stores in southeast Georgia and South Carolina.
