PCATS Running Funniest Video Contest

STAFFORD, Va. -- The Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS) is challenging 2010 conference attendees to submit their funniest online video for the reception at the PCATS Annual Conference on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, in New Orleans. Video entries must be no more than five minutes in length and contain the following subject matter for consideration: convenience store, fuel pump, customer service, technology, security, teamwork, lottery or really stupid tricks, PCATS reported.

"This is the first video contest that PCATS has ever hosted," said Kim Flaugher of Anheuser-Busch Inc. who serves as chair of the PCATS Membership and Marketing Committee. "We think the video challenge will be fun for those who decide to enter the contest. In addition, the videos will be very entertaining and help facilitate conversation at the reception."

PCATS Secretary and Vice Chair of the Membership and Marketing Committee Kraig Adams of The Coca-Cola Co. said: "At the 2009 PCATS Annual Conference, we hosted a luncheon with a c-store themed video presentation which was well-received by attendees. We decided to build off of that success by allowing industry members an opportunity to participate in the video submission process while setting a cheerful tone for the reception on the evening of Jan. 18, 2010."

Contest winners will be announced at the 2010 PCATS Annual Conference. Prizes will be awarded to the industry members who submit the top four funniest videos judged by PCATS staff. To enter the contest, industry representatives may submit their video selection, including the title of the video and the URL link address, along with their name, daytime telephone number and e-mail address to [email protected]. The submission deadline is Jan. 8, 2010. Contest details may be found at www.pcats.org.
