Pic-Quik Chief to Lead Kansas C-store Association

WICHITA, Kan. — Pic-Quik Inc. President Dan Fast was elected president of the Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association of Kansas (PMCA) last week, according to a Wichita Eagle report. The election was held during the association's 100th annual convention, which took place Sept. 14-16.

The PMCA provides lobbying, representation, educational programs, regulatory guidance and other services to the c-store industry.

Fast has served as a member of the PMCA executive committee for the last three years. In the past, he has also served on its convention committee, and motor fuels and convenience store committee.

Family-owned Pic-Quik operates six convenience stores in Hutchinson, Kan., and provides fuel to other retailers in the county. The company was founded in 1966 by Fast's father- and mother-in-law, Ed and Dickie Fitzgerald. In 1981, Fast and his wife Debbie assumed control of the business, according to the report.
