Pilot Flying J Acquires Two New Sites

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Pilot Flying J has acquired two new Pennsylvania travel centers in Duncannon and Frystown, according to TruckingInfo.com. The Duncannon site, located at 30 Benvenue Ave. at U.S. Highways 22 and 322, occupies 8,520 square feet and has six fuel islands and seven diesel islands. The Frystown site, located at 2210 Camp Swatara Road along Rte. 645 off of I-78's Exit 10, has four fuel islands, 11 diesel islands and one RV island.

"We believe our familiar Pilot sign will be a welcome sight for interstate travelers and professional drivers," said Ken Garber, general manager for the Duncannon location. "They'll want to pull off to fill up, refresh and sample some of our featured food items like Oscar Mayer hot dogs."

Both travel centers will feature vending machines, pay phones, fax and copy services, Western Union, an ATM, lottery and Lotto tickets, an arcade and general merchandise for sale. Drivers can also access DEF at the pump, high-speed fuel pumps, a CAT scale, laundry services and driver services such as Transflo and Trip Pak. The Duncannon site will offer professional drivers five automated showers and 65 parking spaces for trucks, while the Frystown site will offer eight automated showers and 200 parking spaces.

Pilot Flying J has also opened a new travel center today in Osceola, Iowa at 2010 West Clay St. off of I-35's Exit 34. It features a Subway restaurant, clean restrooms, pay phones, an AirVac, fax and copy services, Western Union and money orders, an ATM, lottery and Lotto tickets, an arcade, laundry services and general merchandise "We hope that Osceola area residents and fleet customers will enjoy the convenience and amenities of our new Pilot Travel Center," said Jimmy Haslam, president and CEO of Pilot Flying J. "The travel center will serve this community through products and services as well as contribute to the local economy through jobs and tax revenue. And, we'll fill the needs of those carrying goods to communities across the nation."

Other amenities include diesel fuel, DEF and biodiesel at the pump, a CAT scale, five automated showers and 80 parking spaces for trucks, and Transflo and Trip Pak services foor professional drivers. The company plans to add additional RV parking to the site next spring.
