Pilot Flying J & SEC Team Up for Fuel Sweepstakes

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Pilot Flying J is fueling up for a season-long sweepstakes.

Through a partnership with college football's Southeastern Conference (SEC), fans will have the chance to win free fuel for one year and the ultimate SEC Championship experience.

Fans can text "FuelingFans" to 30311 to enter for a chance to be one of 14 weekly winners that will each receive free fuel for one year, which will be awarded as a $2,000 Pilot Flying J gift card. One grand-prize winner will receive the ultimate SEC Championship experience with four tickets to the game in Atlanta on Dec. 2, as well as hotel accommodations and roundtrip travel.

Weekly winners for the free fuel promotion will be announced every Thursday on Pilot Flying J's Facebook page for 14 weeks during the SEC season, and the grand-prize winner will be announced by Nov. 27.

As "Official Travel Center of the SEC," Pilot Flying J will bring their mobile "Fueling All Fans Experience" unit to various college campuses alongside SEC Nation, the SEC Network's traveling pre-game show, broadcast live from a different SEC campus on game day each week. "Fueling All Fans Experience" will offer several hospitalities, including Pilot Coffee, snacks, and beverages.

"We want to let football fans get a taste of our store offerings in the stadium footprint — especially if they haven't had a chance to visit us in store," said Whitney Haslam Johnson, chief experience officer for Pilot Flying J. "We're excited about fueling fans' experiences at the game and while traveling to see their favorite teams, and continuing to fuel life's journeys for all drivers on the road."

Pilot Flying J become "Official Travel Center of the SEC" in July through a four-year, multimillion-dollar sponsorship agreement with the SEC and ESPN. The initiative with the SEC represents the largest sports sponsorship deal the company has executed in its nearly 60-year history, as CSNews Online previously reported.

Based in Knoxville, Pilot Flying J operates more than 750 retail locations in 43 states, serving more than 1.3 million customers daily.
