Quick Chek Names 2009 Vendors of the Year

WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. -- Quick Chek, operator of more than 120 convenience stores throughout New Jersey and southern New York, honored two longtime business partners as its 2009 Vendors of the Year: foodservice distributor AFI and Drew Grosso, owner of Empire Millwork.

Cited for its unwavering contribution in helping to strengthen Quick Chek's business operations and customer service, AFI, the company's foodservice distributor for the past eight years, was recognized for its dedication in successfully moving the retailer's foodservice category forward.

In addition, Grosso, owner of Empire Millwork, based in Millstone Township, N.J., received Vendor of the Year honors, and was acknowledged by company representatives as an innovative problem solver during Quick Chek's annual recognition event.

Grosso has represented Quick Chek for the past three decades, and is responsible for the chain's cabinetry, countertop, trim and molding construction work.
