QuickChek Recognized Again as Best Place to Work in N.J.
WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. — QuickChek Corp. was named one of the Best Places to Work in New Jersey for the sixth time in seven years. The convenience store chain was honored by weekly business journal NJBIZ.
This honor comes soon after QuickChek was also named one of the Best Places to Work in New York, as CSNews Online previously reported.
"We are very proud to once again be named one of the best places to work in New Jersey," stated QuickChek CEO Dean Durling. "Our mission is to be a Great Place to Work, a Great Place to Shop and a Great Place to Invest. As our team members have input into this selection, this recognition confirms we remain on the right track."
The Best Places to Work and Best Companies to Work For lists recognize each state's employers who show dedication to their employees' growth and quality of life.
The program includes an employee survey as part of the effort to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment whose practices benefit each state's businesses, economy and workforce.
Family-owned QuickChek employs more than 3,700 people at 142 locations in New Jersey, New York's Hudson Valley and Long Island. It invests in its team members by offering starting pay that has been above the New Jersey and New York state minimums for the past eight years and by offering numerous career opportunities. All of QuickChek's district leaders and most of its vice presidents began their careers working in a local store.
Additionally, full-time employees receive a variety of benefits, including medical, dental and vision; life insurance; a 401(k) savings plan; fitness center reimbursement; and even pet insurance.
QuickChek will receive its Best Places to Work in New Jersey award on April 19 at the iPlay America's Event Center in Freehold, N.J.
