QuickChek Will Let Q Café Fly at Balloon Festival
WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. — QuickChek Corp. will launch its Q Café initiative on a large scale at this year's New Jersey Festival of Ballooning. As the event's title sponsor, QuickChek will offer nearly 40 varieties of handcrafted hot and iced cold drinks; fresh-brewed cappuccinos, lattes and espressos; blended-to-order fruit smoothies; and frozen chocolate treats.
The festival will take place July 24-26 at Solberg Airport in Readington, N.J.
"The balloon festival is our No. 1 branding event," stated QuickChek CEO Dean Durling. "It has proven to be a great way to introduce consumers to our brand and to our newest offerings."
The Whitehouse Station-based convenience store chain has opened Q Cafés inside its newest stores to great success, according to the announcement.
Hot beverages featured on the Q Café menu include seven varieties each of cappuccinos and lattes; two kinds of hot chocolate; and espresso brewed with freshly ground QuickChek Dark Roast espresso beans. Cold beverages include six kinds of blended-to-order smoothies with real fruit purees; frozen lattes with caramel, mocha and vanilla flavors; and frozen chocolate and white chocolate drinks with caramel, banana, mango, strawberry, strawberry banana and superfruit.
At the festival, Q Café will be located across from QuickChek's 2,700-square-foot, air-conditioned replica store, where attendees can enjoy custom-made, oven-toasted subs, premium salads and wraps, breakfast sandwiches, hot and iced coffees, and frozen drinks.
"We're very happy to offer our attendees another great dining experience," said Festival Executive Producer Howard Freeman, who noted that patrons can dine outside the QuickChek store under umbrella-covered tables or in the QuickChek hospitality tent.
QuickChek's 23-year sponsorship of the hot air balloon and music festival is the longest-running sponsorship of any U.S. festival, as CSNews Online previously reported.
The c-store chain operates 140 stores throughout New Jersey and New York.
