QuikTrip Corp. Fund Awards Grant to The Kitchen Inc.

TULSA, Okla. -- The Kitchen Inc. recently received a $2,000 grant from the QuikTrip Corp. Fund through the Tulsa Community Foundation, the News-Leader.com reported.

The gift will be used to support Safe Place Springfield operations, including volunteer training and student education, Kitchen officials said in the report. The Kitchen's Rare Breed Youth Services operates the Safe Place program in Springfield, Mo., with Boys & Girls Town of Missouri.

Through the program, young people can get immediate safety, crisis intervention, shelter and other services.
