QuikTrip Opens 700th Store
TULSA, Okla. -- June 26 is one for the history books at QuikTrip Corp., as the locally based retailer opens its 700th convenience store. The milestone location in Overland, Mo., welcomed its first customers at a grand-opening celebration that continues throughout the whole day.
The day kicked off at 8 a.m. with radio station 93.7 The Bull – Country Radio broadcasting live from the store. Then, the "Show Me Sound Organization" drumline was slated to perform at 9 a.m. and the Budweiser Clydesdale horses made an appearance at 10 a.m.
The festivities continued after lunch with the St. Louis Cardinals' Team Fredbird cheerleaders, radio station Z107.7 – Top 40 Radio, and an appearance by the St. Louis Rams Cheerleaders.
In addition, QuikTrip extended the celebration to all St. Louis-area stores with a free Big Q fountain drink from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
QuikTrip is a privately owned company that directly operates all its 700 stores in 11 states.
