QuikTrip Opens First North Carolina Store
INDIAN TRAILS, N.C. -- QuikTrip Corp. takes its first step into the Tar Heel State today, opening its first North Carolina convenience store, according to media reports. The new store, located west of Raleigh in Indian Trails, is one of the c-store chain's new Generation 3 prototypes.
"QuikTrip is really excited about our first location in North Carolina," said President and CEO Chet Cadieux. "QuikTrip made the decision several years ago to begin operations in North Carolina. Thursday, our goal will be realized."
Jamie Marchesano, QuikTrip's vice president of store development, added: "Our store development team has done a terrific job finding the best sites that will give our employees the opportunity to grow and succeed with our company.”
Five more QuikTrip stores are under construction in North Carolina, company officials said. The company now operates more than 600 convenience stores across 11 states.
