Rebel Oil Sells Retail Outlets to Anabi Oil
LAS VEGAS — There is a new retailer in the Las Vegas convenience store scene.
Convenience Store News has learned that Rebel Oil Co. sold its retail outlets to Anabi Oil Corp. CSNews could not reach either company's executives Friday for comment.
"After 50 years of service, Rebel Oil Co. has recently decided to sell our retail locations to a reputable California-based company Anabi Oil Corp. Rebel will continue to own and operate our wholesale division with oil, lubes and transport bulk deliveries," the company wrote in a letter to its Rebel retail card customers.
As a result of the sale, Rebel charge cards will no longer be accepted at Rebel convenience stores starting in mid-December, but they will continued to be accepted at the Rebel warehouse on Sahara Boulevard, the letter explained.
"We value and appreciate your commitment and loyalty through the years and hope we can meet your fuel needs in the future," the company added.
Las Vegas-based Rebel Oil has approximately 40 retail locations throughout Nevada, including Las Vegas, Henderson, Beatty, Boulder City, Pahrump, Searchlight and Tonopah.
Upland, Calif.-based Anabi Oil and its affiliates operate as a diversified distributor, retailer and owner of motor gasoline products and properties. It has retail locations in Alaska, Northern California and Southern California.
