Riiser Energy's Pride Pumps Generate $40K for Local Schools
WASAU, Wis. — Riiser Energy's R-Stores have raised more than $41,000 for Wasau-area high schools through the Pride Pumps at select Riiser gas stations since they began operating. The program first launched in late 2015.
Each Pride Pump features the logo of the high school it represents. Two cents from each gallon sold at that pump will be donated to that school, reported WSAW.
"This is only the beginning!" said Todd Kopplin, Riiser vice president of retail. "Many of the locations only had a Pride Pump installed for a portion of 2016. Next year we expect even higher donation totals. We are delighted to be able to partner with local schools in the communities in which we operate."
Schools participating in Pride Pumps include:
- Wausau East and Wausau West
- D.C. Everest
- Wausau Newman
- Coleman High School
- Gillet High School
- Merrill High School
- Mosinee High School
- Edgar High School
- Marathon High School
- Northland Lutheran High School
"We look forward to even more schools joining the program in the upcoming year," Kopplin said.
Donation levels vary based on the number of gallons sold at each Pride Pump, but the company estimates that these districts will receive an annual contribution between $4,000 and $7,000.
Wasau-based Riiser operates 28 R-Stores throughout Wisconsin.
