Rutter's Presents $25,000 Donation to United Cerebral Palsy

YORK, Pa. -- Rutter's Children's Charities, the charitable arm of the Rutter's Cos., recently presented a check for $25,000 to United Cerebral Palsy of South Central Pennsylvania.

The Hanover, Pa.-based nonprofit will use the award to purchase a handicapped-accessible van for transporting its clients. UCP of South Central Pennsylvania serves children and adults with disabilities and special needs in York, Adams, Franklin and Fulton counties. The chapter has offices in York, Hanover, Gettysburg and Chambersburg.

Family-owned and third-generation-managed, the Rutter's Cos. comprise Rutter's Farm Stores, Rutter's Dairy and M&G Realty, a real-estate holding company. The companies employ more than 800 people in central Pennsylvania.
