Schoon's Pump 'N Pak Hosting Vendor Appreciation Day
BROOKINGS, S.D. -- Schoon's Pump 'N Pak, a Clark-branded store at 202 Main Ave. South here, is conducting a vendor appreciation day tomorrow. The store is expecting more than 15 vendors to participate, including local dairy, meat and cheese suppliers, as well as energy drink, tobacco, soft drink and alcohol companies.
The store is allowing each vendor to have a booth showcasing new products, and they can offer special discount pricing to customers. Schoon's is also preparing a fresh barbeque prime rib for its customers and hosting a live radio broadcast on-site.
"We are excited to reward both our customers and our vendors. Allowing the vendors to showcase their products has increased our vendor participation level," said Dan Bauer, general manager of Schoon's. "We appreciate the relationships we've built with our vendors over the years, and we're always looking for new ways to increase profitability for our vendors."
Karl Goodhouse, president and CEO of Clark Brands, added, "This is a wonderful way to involve the local community -- both customers and vendors. We think this is an innovative way to increase retail business, while allowing the local vendors to showcase new products."
Schoon's Pump 'N Pak is supplied by Harms Oil Co., a Clark Brands licensee in Brookings. Clark licenses its gasoline brand and the Four Corners Coffee brand to independent petroleum marketers and retailers.
