"Secure Store" Debuts at NRF Loss Prevention Conference and EXPO

WASHINGTON -- Attendees at the upcoming National Retail Federation's 2008 Loss Prevention Conference and EXPO will have the opportunity to observe and study innovative steps in securing and protecting stores, merchandise, employees and customers while touring the "Secure Store."

The Clifton, Va.-based Hybridia Design developed the "Secure Store" model along with participating sponsors that provide unique solutions and cutting edge technologies that will be featured in the model. Displayed technologies will include video surveillance systems with biometric access control solutions, multipoint-locking systems, CCTV and IP systems, rolling shutters, money counting systems and automated returns software which detects and prevents acts of theft and fraud.

Secure Store sponsors currently include: Amphion, Carttronics, ClickIt, DETEX, Global Compliance, Metro One Loss Prevention Services Group, QMI Security Shutters and Product Cases, Riverview Systems, RSS Partners Inc., SIRAS, United Surveillance Systems Corp. and Vital Signz.

Among other products on display will be magnetic AM and RF security tags and advanced shopping carts with wheels that lock in the event of shoplifting. The three-day event will be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando from June 23 to 25. The "Secure Store" store will be open Monday, June 23 from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday, June 24 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
