Sheetz Debuts in Perry, Ohio

ALTOONA, Pa. -- Sheetz Inc. opened its doors to customers for the first time yesterday in Perry, Ohio, at 2800 North Ridge Road. The store -- a first for the town -- brings the chain's locations to 341, the company stated.

To celebrate the arrival of the chain, the store will hold a Grand Opening ceremony Dec. 12, complete with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:30 p.m., the company stated.

As part of the occasion, the company will make a donation to the Perry Area Joint Recreation District, which will fund various youth athletic programs and the Perry Fall Festival, according to the company.

"It's exciting for us at Sheetz any time we are able to bring our latest concepts in convenience to a new area," Louie Sheetz, executive vice president of marketing for Sheetz, said in a statement. "We are looking forward to being a part of the Perry community and we're glad to offer our assistance to the kids of Perry through the Recreation District."

The newest store will offer the chain's new menu of fresh Made-To- Order items, including cold and toasted subs, freshly made salads, hot fries, onion rings, chicken fingers and burgers, the company stated.

Sheetz Bros. Coffeez, the chain's full-service espresso bar staffed by a trained barista, will offer customers hand-made coffee drinks including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas in a variety of ways -- hot, frozen or iced. Here, customers can also order frozen fruit smoothies, according to the company.

And for customers on-the-go, Sheetz provides premium-brewed, self-serve coffees made from 100 percent Arabica beans in flavors such as Breakfast Blend, Serious Dark Roast, 100 percent Colombian and Vanilla Nut Cream, the company stated.

Customers in Perry, Ohio, will place food and specialty coffee orders at touchscreen order kiosks.

Other features to the store include self-serve milkshakes and bakery items, along with a full-service, automatic car wash.
