Sheetz to Implement Store-Specific Cigarette Planograms

ALTOONA, Pa. -- Sheetz Inc. selected GSP Marketing Technologies’ Shelfscape system to assist in the implementation of its store-specific cigarette merchandising plan.

The software will import store-specific planograms for each location and automatically generate 100 percent store-specific reset layouts and shelf tag sets for the stores' cigarette backbars.

"GSP has really come through for us on this project," said Jerry Weger, tobacco sales director for Sheetz. "GSP cut our turnaround time in half, while simultaneously moving us from a generic planogram process to a store-specific planogram structure. We now have 300 stores with 300 different planograms, and GSP has maintained our high standard of quality despite a change in print process. And all this for less money."

GSP's Shelfscape-generated shelf tag sets will be organized to match the layout of each cigarette backbar, simplifying backbar resets and reducing risks of out-of-stocks. GSP will produce labels directly from Shelfscape generated files to reduce lead times and production costs.
