Sheetz Selects Warehouse Management Software
ALTOONA, Pa. -- In an effort to better manage operations, Sheetz Inc. selected Teradata Corp. to build an enterprise data warehouse (EDW), an initiative that will be coupled with Teradata Warehouse Miner for advanced analytics enabling data-mining technology from multiple vendors.
"Teradata understands our unique information requirements and has a strong background in the retail business as well as in detailed analytical intelligence," Jim Wenner, IT director at Sheetz, said in a statement.
Ed Dupee, vice president of global industry solutions for Teradata, explained the analytics software will support market basket analysis, affinity analysis and merchandising-related analysis.
"We are especially gratified to be selected by Sheetz because of its reputation for visionary levels of business leadership and meticulous execution of their corporate strategy using the most advanced technology," Dupee said in a statement.
