Sheetz Starts Hiring for New Distribution Center

BURLINGTON, N.C. – Sheetz Inc. held a job fair Wednesday to fill more than 100 positions at its new distribution center here, according to a WFMY News report.

The job fair was open from noon to 8 p.m. at 2008 Anthony Road, as the actual distribution center, located on Whites Kennel Road, is still under construction. Interviews were conducted for available positions that begin in September, including truck drivers, Sheetz Brothers Kitchen chefs and distribution center packers.

Sheetz will continue to hire for the rest of the year until all positions are filled, said Human Resources Manager Allison Newcomer. Interested applicants who could not attend the job fair can get more information by calling (814) 239-1082, emailing [email protected] or visiting sheetzjobz.com.

The Altoona, Pa.-based convenience store chain is opening the Burlington facility to support its continuing expansion in North Carolina. The retailer currently operates roughly 60 stores in the state, with plans to add at least a dozen more.
