Shell's Drive for Five Card Offers More Ways to Save
HOUSTON -- With the summer travel season officially underway, Shell Oil Products US is looking to draw new customers to its Drive for Five rewards program.
This summer, Shell is offering new accounts a dollar-for-dollar rebate on non-fuel purchases (convenience store, car wash, etc.) made at Shell-branded stations with the Shell Drive for Five card during the first 90 days after the account open date -- up to a total of $50.
This promotional incentive is in addition to the ongoing 5-cents-per-gallon savings that all Shell Drive for Five cardholders receive when they purchase a minimum of 45 gallons of Shell Nitrogen Enriched Gasolines and Shell Diesel during a billing cycle. The ongoing savings apply from the first gallon up to 100 gallons each qualifying month.
"At Shell, we're committed to offering year-round opportunities to meet the savings needs of new and existing consumers," said Ebbie Normyle, manager of U.S. consumer payment at Shell Oil Products US. "This summer promotion for new Drive for Five cardholders is one of the many ways in which we help our customers lower travel costs without sacrificing the quality of their fuel. Shell is pleased to offer rewards at the pump and now rewards for purchases made in the convenience store."
The Shell Drive for Five card offers additional benefits such as pay-at-the-pump convenience, revolving credit terms, separate tracking of gasoline purchases, online account management and payment features, ATM cash access and the Citi Identity Theft Solutions protection feature. The Shell Drive for Five card can be used to pay for items including fuel, car washes, repair service, or food and drinks at any of the 14,000-plus Shell stations coast to coast.
