Smoker Friendly to Break Ground on New Headquarters

BOULDER, Colo. -- Smoker Friendly will break ground for the site of its new corporate headquarters next month. The new building, located on a 2.21-acre parcel in Boulder's Gunbarrel Technical Center at 6790 Winchester Circle, will house the corporate offices and warehouse for Smoker Friendly International, The Cigarette Store Corp. and Gasamat Oil Corp. of Colorado.

A groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on March 1. All press and media outlets are welcome, the company said.

The impending end of Smoker Friendly's five-year lease and space limitations at its current building prompted the company to build a new headquarters tailored to its needs and growth outlook, the company said. Boulder's RVP Architecture PC designed the building, with Longmont, Colo.'s Golden Triangle Construction serving as the general contractor.

"We really felt that the market was ripe to buy a piece of land and design a building that is custom built to suit our needs," said Smoker Friendly President Terry Gallagher Jr. "We wanted to stay in Boulder because our roots are here. His family has lived in Boulder since the late 1800s.

The 19,500-square-foot building will feature a 3,000-square-foot warehouse, 573-square-foot humidor, a state-of-the-art gym and workout facility, kitchen, lounge and large patio for hosting parties and events, as well as office facilities.
