Stripes C-stores Sign ATM Deal With Security Service Credit Union

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- Security Service Federal Credit Union partnered with convenience store chain Stripes LLC to offer its members expanded access to their accounts through Stripes' network of ATMs.

More than 500 Stripes and Town & Country convenience stores in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico will offer the service at a reduced fee of 50 cents per transaction, the San Antonio Business Journal reported.

"We are confident that our members will enjoy having access to low-cost ATM services available to them through our partnership with Stripes," Security Service spokesman John Worthington said in the report.

Stripes already partners with nine different credit unions that offer ATM service to their members, according to the report.

San Antonio-based Security Service Federal Credit Union is the largest credit union in Texas, and the ninth largest in the nation, with more than $5 billion in assets and over 700,000 members, the report stated.
