Sunoco Brings Craft Beer Exchange to More N.Y. Stores

PHILADELPHIA -- Something new is brewing at more of Sunoco Inc.'s APlus locations. The chain has added its Craft Beer Exchange to 30 more APlus convenience stores in Albany, Allegheny, Essex, Monroe, Livingston, Lewis, Onondaga, Oneida and St. Lawrence counties in New York State.

The Craft Beer Exchange program offers customers a choice of up to 12 rotating craft beers available in to-go, 64-ounce growlers. Consumers can also opt to create their own six-pack of bottles for $9.99. Among the craft beers offered are ones from microbreweries Long Trail, Ithaca, Victory, Flying Bison, Troegs, Red Hook, Smuttynose and Brooklyn.

This expansion comes on the heels of Sunoco's successful Craft Beer Exchange pilot program in the Buffalo, N.Y., area. Craft Beer Exchange began with 11 locations this past summer.

"We have decided to expand the Craft Beer Exchange based on the success we have had in Buffalo and Rochester markets," said Wendy Lyman, Sunoco's beverage category manager. "Now, craft beer fans across the entire state of New York can stop by one of our nearly 50 locations for growlers and six-packs of their favorite microbrews."
