Sunoco to Launch Digital Media with GSTV

PHILADELPHIA -- Expanding its use of the Gas Station TV (GSTV) solution at its gas islands, Sunoco will launch an IP-based digital in-store pilot program from GSTV at select stations to provide a fully integrated, media destination to target on-the-go consumers, GSTV stated.

"GSTV has enhanced our business in the forecourt and we're excited to be the first retailer to launch this in-store program with them in an effort to continue driving sales and building customer loyalty," Chris Buitron, brand manager of Sunoco, said in a statement. "Our focus is on creating a balanced, engaging experience for customers both inside and outside our stores."

GSTV's large-format LCD panels will be positioned in high-traffic areas inside the store, and will feature the a mix of news and entertainment from ABC television, sports highlights from ESPN, AccuWeather forecasts, brand advertising and product promotions, the company stated.

"From the forecourt to the c-store, GSTV provides a complete, dynamic media solution for engaging mobile consumers and driving c-store revenue," David Leider, GSTV CEO, said in a statement. "We are transforming the gas station environment by making it a true destination for consumers who look to alternative media sources for their news and information, as well as marketers who aim to connect with this important audience."
