TechPay LLC launched SwiftPay, a software-based mobile payment system that works with Apple and Android mobile devices and accepts credit cards, debit cards or a checking account. Convenience store retailers do not need to install any new hardware to utilize the mobile payment acceptance device, nor does it require a near field communication-based phone, according to the company. The free app allows consumers to make shopping lists, scan manufacturer coupons from newspapers, and enter or scan loyalty cards to receive discounts in real-time.
