Tedeschi Appoints New Chief Operating Officer

ROCKLAND, Mass. – Tedeschi Food Shops Inc. named Greg Donoghue its new chief operating officer. He succeeds Robert Tedeschi Jr., who retired in late June after nearly 39 years of service.

In his new role, Donoghue oversees all operations and facilitates collaboration and project management oversight for all departmental interaction with stores, the company stated.

Donoghue joined Tedeschi in 2007 as the company's general counsel and focused on real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and employment matters. Since then, he has held multiple roles, including vice president of human resources, in which he administered all hiring, oversaw a training group of four employees, and recorded management and payroll administration for 2,000 weekly payees.

To prepare for his promotion to chief operating officer, Donoghue spent six weeks working in a store to learn the ins and outs of the business at the retail level, while rotating through all corporate departments.

Tedeschi Food Shops operates 191 convenience stores in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
